MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING, 914 NORTH EASTON ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2018

I. CALL TO ORDER:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

III. ROLL CALL:

Petitions for the April 2nd, 2019 Consolidated Election can now be filed at City Hall

through December 17, 2018. City Hall Office will remain open until 5:00 P.M. on

the final filing day, which is December 17, 2018.

City Hall Office will be closed on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday December 25,

2018 for the Christmas Holiday, and also closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 for the

New Year Holiday. All public works employees, except for on water treatment plant

employee will be off those days as well.

PARK & CIVIC IMPROVEMENT –

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Garde to grant request from the Staunton Soccer Association to do improvements to the soccer complex as proposed by the Soccer Board. Ayes: Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Garde. Nayes: None. Abstain: Bodner. Absent: None. Motion carried 7 Ayes; 1 Abstain.

FINANCE–

Motion by Pritchett, seconded by Johnson to transfer $100,000.00 from the General Fund to the Water Fund. Ayes: Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Pritchett, seconded by Scroggins to pay Invoice #CVC16606 to Civic Systems for travel expenses from City Hall computer training in the amount of $1,489.74. Ayes: Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.

UTILITIES-

Motion by Garde, seconded by Plenske to pay Invoice #12088 from Microcomm for spare input module for Scada Computers in the amount of $6,494.00. Ayes: Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Garde, seconded by Scroggins to pay Invoice dated November 30, 2018 from John H. Crawford & Associates for Design completed on the Water Line Replacement IEPA Permit on the Sportsman Loop Project in the amount of $1,694.50. Motion by Garde, seconded by Johnson to pay Invoice #456420 from Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard, P.C for Professional Services rendered regarding water treatment plant litigation in the amount of $2,143.81. Motion by Garde, seconded by Plenske to accept bid from Midwest Municipal Supply for materials for the Sportsman Club Loop water main project in the amount of $11,601.20. Ayes: Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
