Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 2019

VIII. CITY CLERK’S REPORT
City Hall Office will be closed on Monday, November 11th, in observance of the
Veteran’s Day holiday. All public works employees, except one water treatment plant employee, will be off that day as well.
The next regularly scheduled City Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, due to the Veteran’s Day holiday.

PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY -
Motion by Taylor, seconded by Johnson to pay Invoice #2949 to Advanced Communications for amount due on receipt of radio equipment for the police department in the amount of $13,233.24. This amount is 40% of the total invoice, which is due at the time of receipt of equipment. The 50% downpayment of $16,541.55 was approved at the June 10, 2019 City Council Meeting. Public Works Director Kuethe checked on a purchase price for the signs which would
recognize resident Bob Fritz on his recent trap shooting championship. The cost of
the signs would be $75.00 each and one would be placed at each of the three entrances
to Staunton. The state may pay for the posts, but if not the cost would be $100.00 per
post. Kuethe will discuss more with the state and get the signs on order soon.
