MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE RALPH & JOSEPHINE OLTMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 101 W. PEARL ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2024

I.         CALL TO ORDER:

           Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2024.

II.       PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

           Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

Motion by Manning, seconded by Tipler to approve Quote from Axon Enterprises, Inc. for Pro-Licenses for all police officers at the cost up to $3,208.50. The cost for this program would be in effect for 34 months. At Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Berg, Machota, Tipler, Manning, Dias. Nayes: None. Absent: McKee. Motion carried.

Motion by Machota, seconded by Dias to approve Quote #9504 from Coe Equipment, Inc. for a Digging Lance Package at a cost not to exceed $4,000.00. This will be paid half from sewer, new equipment and water, new equipment. At Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Tipler, Manning, Dias, Berg, Machota. Nayes: None. Absent: McKee. Motion carried.Â

Motion by Machota, seconded by Tipler to pay Invoice #126705 to Fehr Graham Engineering & Envinronmental For Design, Bidding and Construction Services rendered on the North Street Lift Station & Force Main Project in the amount of $19,800.00. This will be paid from Budget Line Item 52.43.898.0. At Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Manning, Dias, Berg, Machota, Tipler. Nayes: None. Absent: McKee. Motion carried.Â

Over the last few weeks, the Staunton Chamber of Commerce, the Concordia Hall and the Staunton Lions Club all had Snack with Santa events and toy give-aways for kids in the community. All of the events were well attended and it was great to see the organizations all come together to help local families to have a brighter Christmas.Â
