PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council for the City of Staunton, Illinois will hold a public hearing, at which interested persons may appear and be heard, on February 13, 2023, at 6:50 p.m. at the Ralph & Josephine Oltmann Community Center, 101 W. Pearl St., to consider the vacation of certain real property between Main Street and Olive Street in Staunton, Illinois, 62088 (“Property”), pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/11-91-1, et seq.
The Property is more particularly described as follows:
Part of Block 1 in Henry Voge's 1st Addition, Staunton, Illinois, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Block 3 in said Henry Voge's 1st Addition; thence North 01 degree 29 minutes 12 seconds West along the north extension of the west line of said Block 3, a distance of 50.13 feet to the north line of Olive Street; thence North 89 degrees 02 minutes 42 seconds East along said north line, a distance of 64.03 feet to the point of beginning.
From said point of beginning; thence North 00 degrees 58 minutes 20 seconds West, a distance of 144.78 feet to the southerly right of way line of Main Street; thence North 58 degrees 51 minutes 27 seconds East along said southerly right of way line, a distance of 52.67 feet; thence South 01 degree 27 minutes 05 seconds East, a distance of 171.27 feet to the north line of said Olive Street; thence South 89 degrees 02 minutes 42 seconds West along said north line, a distance of 46.97 feet to the point of beginning, containing 7,319 square feet, more or less.
