Received a letter from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources notifying the City that due to the fact that our OSLAD Grant Application was below the level of funds available, the City of Staunton will not be receiving any funding.  A copy of the letter is included with the agenda packet.

 

Received a letter of resignation from part time janitor Michelle Jones. Her last day of employment with the City will be June 13, 2024. 

 

Received an email from Ben Clark, representing the Staunton Fire Department, requesting to close Park Lane, Luker Street and Bell Street on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. to alleviate congestion at the end of the Homecoming Parade.

 

Received a letter from the Illinois Department of Transportation informing the City that they received 143 applications for funding the Illinois Safe Routes to School Funding Cycle.  47 project were approved for funding and the City of Staunton was not selected to receive funding at this time.

The annual Homecoming Parade will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 29th at 4:30.  The City will have their float in the parade and all elected officials are welcome to walk along with the float.

Motion to grant request from the Staunton Fire Department to close Park Lane, Luker Street and Bell Street on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the end of the Homecoming Parade

 

Motion to pay Invoice dated June 1, 2024 from West Central Illinois Criminal Justice Council for Mobile Training Unit 9 annual dues in the amount of $1,100.00 (effective July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025)
