Special City Council Meeting Minutes--September 30, 2026

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE RALPH & JOSEPHINE OLTMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 101 W. PEARL ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026

I.          CALL TO ORDER:

            Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Special Meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

II.        PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

            Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

 III.      ROLL CALL:

            City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons:

            PRESENT:  Mayor Craig Neuhaus, City Clerk Dennis Stiegemeier, Aldermen David Manning, Ben Frank, Kristy Berg, Anthony Bagaglio, Matthew McKee.

            NOT ATTENDING:  Aldermen Ryan Machota and Terry Tipler

  IV.       BUSINESS

            Motion by Frank, seconded by Bagaglio to approve Resolution #2026-28 A Resolution In Support Of An Illinois   Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) Grant Application.  At Roll Call Vote – Ayes:  Frank, Berg, Bagaglio, McKee, Manning.  Nayes:  None.  Absent:  Machota, Tipler.  Motion carried. 

 V.        ADJOURNMENT

            With no further business to discuss, Councilmember Manning, seconded by Councilmember Berg made a motion to adjourn at 6:02 P.M.  At Roll Call Vote - Ayes:  Berg, Bagaglio, McKee, Manning, Frank.  Nayes:  None. Absent:  Machota, Tipler.  Motion carried.
