I. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, June 12, 2023.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Received an email from Ben Clark, representing the Staunton Fire Department, requesting to close Park Lane, Luker Street and Bell Street on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. to alleviate congestion at the end of the Homecoming Parade.
Received a letter of resignation from part time police officer Tim Smiddy. The letter was dated March 13, 2023 and his resignation was to be effective upon the medical release from his physician. The medical release was received on May 30, 2023.

VIII. CITY CLERK’S REPORT
This year’s annual Homecoming Parade will be held on Sunday, June 25th at 3:00 P.M. The City of Staunton will have their float in the parade. All City Officials are welcome to walk along with the float and kids/grandkids are welcome to ride on the float. We will meet in front of the garage doors at the City Hall Complex by 2:45 that afternoon.
