MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE RALPH & JOSEPHINE OLTMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 101 W. PEARL ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2022


I. CALL TO ORDER:


Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 24, 2022.


II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.


III. ROLL CALL:

City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons:

Received a letter of resignation from Ward 2 Alderman Rick Johnson, dated October 14, 2022, effective immediately


VII. TREASURER’S REPORT

The annual Treasurer’s Report for the City of Staunton has been completed for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2022, and a motion to accept the report will be during the Finance Committee Report.


VIII. CITY CLERK’S REPORT

Governor Pritzker has signed a new Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation extending the statewide declaration through November 12, 2022, which means that public meetings may continue to be held remotely.


The City Clerk’s Office will be closed on Friday, November 11th for the Veteran’s Day holiday. I will need all agenda items for the November 14, 2022 City Council Meeting by Thursday, November 10th.


IX. COMMITTEE REPORTS

PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY -

Motion by Manning, seconded by Dias to approve Quotes #50555 and #50556 for additional office furniture and office equipment for the police department at a total cost of $1,876.89. At Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Machota, Plenske, Moore, Tipler, Manning, Dias. Nayes: Hanks. Absent: None. Motion carried 6 Ayes; 1 Naye.
