I. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 26, 2022.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.
III. ROLL CALL:
City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons:

VI. CORRESPONDENCE
Received a letter of resignation from full time police officer Ronald Boris. The letter is dated September 14, 2022 and his last day of employment is September 15, 2022.
Received a letter from the Staunton Lions Club regarding the upcoming Halloween Parade. Plans are to have the parade on Sunday, October 30th at 6:00 P.M.with Monday, October 31st being the rain date. The parade will begin at the City Hall complex and proceed east on Main Street to Laurel Street and then south on Laurel Street to Henry Street, ending at the VFW Hall.

VIII. CITY CLERK’S REPORT
I have received all of the information regarding the upcoming Consolidated Election, which will be held on April 4, 2023. Petition packets are available now and can be circulated immediately. Candidates can pick up the packets at the City Clerk’s office, and the filing dates for completed packets will be December 12 thru December 19, 2022.
Governor Pritzker has signed a new Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation extending the statewide declaration through October 15, 2022, which means that public meetings may continue to be held remotely.

PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY -
Motion by Manning, seconded by Dias to pay Invoice #62767 to Russell Furniture for new flooring at the police department in the amount of $5,382.25. At Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Johnson, Machota, Moore, Tipler, Manning, Dias. Nayes: None. Absent: Hanks, Plenske. Motion carried.
