PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The City of Staunton will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 6:00pm at The Community Center, located at 101 West Pearl Street, Staunton, Illinois 62088, to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Land Acquisition & Development OSLAD Grant Application project and application submittal.
On or about September 30, 2022, the City of Staunton intends to apply to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for a grant from the Open Space Land Acquisition & Development (OSLAD) grant program. These grant funds will be utilized to help the City develop a Community Park to include children playground equipment, family pavilion, and off-street parking with all necessary services and amenities in an area of the City that is currently underserved. The goal of the OSLAD grant project is to provide funding assistance to local government agencies for the acquisition and/or development of land for public parks and open space and improve the quality of life for members of the communities.
Written comments should be submitted to City Hall no later than September 16, 2022, in order to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings. This project will result in no displacement of any persons or businesses.
