Special City Council Meeting Minutes--December 26, 2025

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE RALPH & JOSEPHINE OLTMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 101 W. PEARL ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2025

I.          CALL TO ORDER:

        Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Special Meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, December 26, 2025

II.        PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

            Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

 III.      ROLL CALL:

            City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons:

        PRESENT:  Aldermen David Manning, Ben Frank, Kristy Berg, Terry Tipler,  Mayor Craig Neuhaus and City Clerk Dennis Stiegemeier.

            NOT ATTENDING:  Aldermen Ryan Machota, Anthony Bagaglio and Matthew McKee.

 IV.      BUSINESS

A motion was made by Alderman Manning, seconded by Alderman Tipler to accept and approve Bid #25117 from Midwest Industrial Contractors for the demolition and removal of the building at 110 East Main Street in the amount of $35,000.00.  At Roll Call Vote – Ayes:   Frank, Berg, Tipler, Manning.  Nayes:  None.  Absent:  Machota, Bagaglio, McKee.   

V.        ADJOURNMENT

      With no further business to discuss, Councilmember Manning, seconded by Councilmember Berg made a motion to adjourn at 6:01 P.M.  At Roll Call Vote: 

            Ayes:   Berg, Tipler, Manning, Frank.

            Nayes:  None.

            Absent:  Machota, Bagaglio, McKee.

            Motion carried.
