Special City Council Meeting Minutes--July 2, 2022

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE RALPH & JOSEPHINE OLTMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 101 W. PEARL ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON SATURDAY, JULY 2, 2022

I. CALL TO ORDER:

Mayor Pro-Tem Jeff Scanzoni called the Staunton City Council Special Meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 2, 2022.

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Mayor Pro-Tem Jeff Scanzoni led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

III. ROLL CALL:

City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons:

PRESENT: Aldermen Johnson, Machota, Scanzoni and City Clerk Stiegemeier.

ELECTRONIC ATTENDANCE: Mayor Craig Neuhaus and Aldermen Dias, Plenske, Moore.

NOT ATTENDING: Aldermen Manning and Hanks.

IV. BUSINESS

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Scanzoni to approve releasing the option to buy the building at 111 West Main Street, Staunton, IL

At Roll Call Vote:

Ayes: Dias, Johnson, Machota, Plenske, Moore, Scanzoni.

Nayes: None.

Absent: Manning, Hanks.

Motion carried.

V. ADJOURNMENT

With no further business to discuss, Councilmember Machota, seconded by Councilmember Johnson made a motion to adjourn at 1:01 P.M. At Roll Call Vote:

Ayes: Johnson, Machota, Plenske, Moore, Scanzoni, Dias.

Nayes: None.

Absent: Manning, Hanks.

Motion carried.
