MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING, 914 NORTH EASTON ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2017

I. CALL TO ORDER:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 27, 2017

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

III. ROLL CALL:

City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons

PRESENT: Councilmembers Maria Bodner, Rich Garde, Chris Birdsell, Herb Sievers, John Kolkovich, Chad Plenske, Ryan Pritchett, Jeff Scanzoni, Mayor Craig Neuhaus, City Clerk Dennis Stiegemeier, City Attorney Phil Lading, Public Works Director Mike Kuethe and Police Chief Jeff Doerr.

EXCUSED: City Treasurer Kathy Legendre.

VI. CORRESPONDENCE

Received a note from the Elbon Shrine Club asking to reserve Duda Garden on June 10, 2017, for their Annual Wing Cook-Off. They are also requesting to have the park rental fee waived.

Received a letter from Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Education Center requesting to

block the streets and intersections bordering Zion Lutheran School (Wood, Henry,

Hoxsey and Panhorst) from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday June 2, 2017. They are also asking the City to provide barricades. This is to allow the day care students to ride their bicycles around the school.

Motion by Plenske, seconded by Bodner to grant request from the Zion Early

Childhood Education Center to block the streets and intersections bordering Zion

Lutheran School from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday June 2, 2017, with the City
