MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE STAUNTON CITY COUNCIL, HELD IN THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING, 914 NORTH EASTON ST., STAUNTON, ILLINOIS ON TUESDAY, MAY 29, 2018

I. CALL TO ORDER:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

III. ROLL CALL:

City Clerk Stiegemeier called roll with the following persons

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Scroggins to approve Estimate #278 from Auto Sound and Security for security cameras at the Police Department and City Hall in the amount of $4,245.00. Ayes: Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Scanzoni, Garde. Nayes: None. Absent: Bodner, Pritchett. Motion carried.

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Plenske to approve Estimate #274 from Auto Sound and Security for sound dampening panels for the interview room at the Police Department at a cost of $1,100.00. Ayes: Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Scanzoni, Garde, Johnson. Nayes: None. Absent: Bodner, Pritchett. Motion carried.

Motion by Johnson, seconded by Scroggins to approve request to close Elm Street from Main Street to Duda Drive from Friday, June 8, 2018 to Monday, June 11, 2018 for the Route 66 Blue Corridor Festival. UTILITIES-

Motion by Garde, seconded by Johnson to pay Invoice #446938 from Utility Service Co. for annual maintenance on the elevated south water tower in the amount of $22,197.03. Ayes: Scanzoni, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske. Nayes: None. Absent: Bodner, Pritchett. Motion carried.

Motion by Garde, seconded by Johnson to purchase Laptop Computer from Schulte Supply for meter reading at a cost of $13,569.90. Ayes: Scanzoni, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske. Nayes: None. Absent: Bodner, Pritchett. Motion carried.

Motion by Garde, seconded by Plenske to approve purchasing traffic paint from

Sherwin Williams at a cost not to exceed $2,400.00. Ayes: Garde, Johnson,
